Letter Requests

The following letters are available to enrolled students:

Status Letter

This letter confirms the course and year you are enrolled on, the length of the course, the start date and expected end date of the course.

Bank Letter

This letter is required in order to open a student bank account. The letter confirms the course and year you are enrolled on, the length of the course, the start date and expected end date of the course. The letter also confirms the home and term address held for you by the University.

Arriva Train Discount Letter

This letter entitles you to 34% discount on an Annual season ticket with Arriva Trains Wales. The letter confirms the course and year you are enrolled on and the start date and expected end date of the course.

To request one of the above letters please email cityadvice@southwales.ac.uk and provide your full name and student ID number .

We aim to have your letter ready for collection within 5 working days. You will be emailed once the letter is ready and can be collected from the Advice Centre reception desk, B floor, City Campus.

Council Tax Exemption Certificates

This letter is available on-line and entitles you to an exemption from paying council tax while you are a full-time student with us (Terms and Conditions Apply). For more information and to download your Council Tax exemption certificate please see the Council Tax Letters page
